At Quadro, we love our customers. And we think they love us right back. To be sure, we’ve taken the time to ask a few of our more hands-on customers, representing different types of businesses, what they think. Here’s what they have to say.

Don Denton, Denton Cabinets

Denton Cabinets has been in the area since 1973 specializing in cabinet design and installation, and sales. Don’s grandfather started the company, making him a third generation owner.

The Team

Denton brings in about 4.5 million revenue and has twelve employees. We design, order, provide the cabinets, and provide the installation and delivery. I get my hands into everything just being, I guess, the owner. I primarily still do a lot of design and sales and then just management of other sales, installation and warehouse and delivery, accounting and all that.

We build custom and commercial cabinets. Quadro is a good fit with us in regards to commercial business. We end up going with Quadro for commercial, and a little residential like garages and maybe some small kitchens. Quadro is a trustworthy company, and they’re solid people, for sure.

Our target customer is primarily contractors, new builds or remodels. Multifamily, single family, commercial. Like multifamily stuff that we’re in contract to do with Quadro, stuff here, downtown Reno, some big downtown markets. They have also got a nice ADA collection of sink based cabinets that are nice to use.

Logistics

Quadro is more commercial, so if it’s melamine or laminate, smaller scale, and if I need faster turnaround times, I usually go to Quadro.

They’re local too, which is a big perk for us. My other suppliers are in Canada and Kansas and all over the place. So it’s nice to have Quadro kind of by my warehouse. Works out for us, you know, if we need a part, maybe, they make it pretty quickly for us, things like that. Quadro is really good about just getting me something if I need it really quick and I could just send someone over to pick it up.

The Product

It’s a well built cabinet. Yeah, it’s built like a tank. When I’m dealing with higher end laminate lines, their stuff is definitely more affordable, and I think in part because we pick it up directly from their shop. It’s not completely wrapped in cardboard and boxed up. So I think we saved some money with freight, we saved money with them not having to box up all the cabinets and protect them.

Quadro has saved me for sure when I need stuff fast.

James Bailzik, Imperial Contracting

Imperial Contracting specializes in multifamily apartment complex renovation work, both market rate product, as well as tax credit product. Quadro Cabinets participates in market rate renovation work as well as tax credit work. The price point and product Quadro provides fits well for both of those markets.

The Team

I’m a senior project manager. So typically I’m way out in front of these projects as we begin our bid process and develop scope and specifications with the client. I’ll be involved with basically the mobilization, buyout, startup of a project and put together my internal team as far as on site, full time project managers and superintendents and assistants if necessary.

Quadro is one of my few suppliers or subcontractors that really operates at a high level, high level of professionalism and service, and they’ve been great to work with.

Pricing

Working with Quadro, the things that have fit in well for us is budget, their product, typically, they’re able to offer it at a price point that we’ve been able to work within our budgets and work within our clients’ budgets. The product quality, their full boxes, and the construction of them, our clients have appreciated.

They’ve been very prompt with pricing requests, if you will. That’s been beneficial for us, because we typically work on tight timelines, so we need quick turnaround and pricing requests. Quadro has met all schedule requirements. We appreciate that, it’s needed.

The Process

Quadro has streamlined our internal process. When we receive a bid request, for instance, on a large project, it’s made our internal life a lot easier knowing that we can go to Quadro, we can get numbers turned around pretty quick. We know that they’re going to fall within a budget expectation, and if there is a challenge with that budget, Quadro has been very helpful to the extent that they can be, to help us get there.

Logistics

I can call them up anytime and say, hey, there’s an issue here. Whether we created it or it was something that happened inadvertently, a damaged supply or something came damaged off a truck, they can turn those around very quick for us. Quadro services our projects and understands our critical path schedule, and understands our budget constraints, and is able to sort of work within all those parameters.

The Product

The product they turn around for us? Let’s just say they couldn’t do any better than what they’re doing if they tried.

Paul Frasier, Quality Countertops

Quality Countertops is a second generation local countertop shop that has expanded its offering by purchasing cabinets through Quadro. Here’s what Paul had to say about the introduction of the Quadro Online Store and the impact it has made with his business.

The Team

There’s five of us here right now. We don’t sub anything out. Everything that we bid, we build. We just don’t waste a lot of time. We don’t waste a lot of effort on stuff that just doesn’t make sense. We get a lot done with five people.

Quadro came in and basically spent a day with me and taught me everything about the online catalog. So they really go out of their way to help their customers. It’s a lot easier than sifting through a freaking binder full of numbers and simple pictures. So the online catalog really made a huge difference.

The Process

With frameless modular cabinets. You basically take a space and you divide it by however many boxes you want to put in there. So this space could be twelve foot six and a half. And you want to divide it by four cabinets. There’s four foot three and an eighth. So you punch that into the catalog and boom, there’s your price. There’s no call in, there’s no guesswork. It just took absolutely every bit of the guesswork out of it.

The design process is one thing, but turning that design into boxes, bits and pieces, and being able to manipulate the sizes to what you need just makes that whole process really easy. So it just streamlined everything so you can just punch in any number you want for any dimension, and there’s the price. Just absolutely streamlined everything. That leans towards my whole philosophy, streamlined. Get rid of the bull crap.

Training

When I brought in our most recent employee, she jumped right into estimating. I threw her right in the fire and basically gave her their phone number and said call Quadro. They taught her a whole lot more than I could. I mean, just the ins and outs of the whole program for online orders. She went, on day one with Quadro’s help, into full-on estimating and ordering.

Logistics

Another big advantage to Quadro is that they’re local. That is a huge advantage for us. That brings lead times and shipping down. Our lead time with our other supplier is 8 to 14 weeks, which is horrible. And then shipping is just outrageous, and Quadro is really, their lead time right now, I think it’s four weeks, four to five. And shipping is included, you know, it’s part of the program.

The Product

The response from our customers has been very positive. The quality of work that came out of Quadro was top notch. We didn’t have a bit of problem with it, no complaints. Typically with a full house job, kitchen, baths, laundry rooms, you’ll get a door or two that has to be replaced. Some sort of damage, a chip in the laminate or something, and there was nothing. It’s a testament to what they’re putting out.
